Incident Room

After the plan has been made an incident room is set up, this acts as a base for the police so that they can co-ordinate all the operations that need to take place in one room. This also acts as a drop in centre or a call centre for the public to give information on the case. This stage is important because it allows the public to get involved with the case and possibly help the case, Incident rooms are especially important in death of a person or abduction of a child cases.

There is no mention of an incident room in the case of Christine Jessop however it would have been beneficial to this case as they are important for all cases but especially abducted children cases which this case is, it would have been a place where everyone could meet before they started a search and plan out their day and where they will search this would have prevented people backtracking and going over where had already been searched and possibly caused Christine to be found sooner.
